How did it start?
I’ve been tattooing for about five years now. I started by working in a studio on the reception desk. I started off working at a studio reception, where I handled customer service, managed the calendar and social media, cleaned, and supported the artists. Over time, out of curiosity, I started to learn how to tattoo, I progressed until I started to deal only with this ;-)

What projects do you specialize in?
I feel best in graphic blackwork combined with expressive abstract elements. I like to create with brushes, thread and work directly on the skin.

What are the most common motifs that clients come to you with?
Animal and botanical motifs, which by the way I really like.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like exercise, so I train boxing, play basketball and go for walks. Besides that, I like cooking, creating paper collages, writing stories, and playing games ;-)

In addition to making phenomenal punches, what do you think is the key to success and can increase popularity in the profession?
I believe that nowadays, success largely depends on how much of ourselves we can showcase on social media and how we do it. Talent and hard work are not enough. You have to find an idea for yourself, create yourself and consistently build your image. This certainly requires investment in marketing and a lot of time. You also have to go to conventions, make new friends and 'show yourself'. However, not everyone has such an outgoing personality or a desire to share their personal lives. Undoubtedly, we are also at the threshold of a technological revolution and, to some extent, it is up to us whether we use it in our work or not. We are no longer just selling pictures of tattoos on Social Media, but also of ourselves. Trends change very quickly, photos are no longer interesting, so you shoot video, but not too long, because nobody wants to watch long videos. We need to constantly follow and even create trends ourselves. It's undeniable that creating non-tattoo-related content generates more interest from the audience, which is why there's a tendency among artists to create personal accounts and share their lives beyond work.

I've been using INKbusinees for a year now and can't imagine going back to google calendar or a traditional calendar. I have everything in one place, client database, session history, treatment consents. What I like most is that clients receive SMS notifications with their session dates and the studio address. I also have access to the on-line shop and discounts from partners. I highly recommend this tool, it saves a lot of time and nerves ;-)
